Privacy Policy

The short version

This site has no accounts and no sign-in. The teams, lineups, and game stats you create are stored only in your own browser (using a technology called localStorage) — they are never uploaded to us, and we could not read them if we wanted to. The site is free and supported by advertising served by Google AdSense.

Who runs this site

VolleyRoster is built and operated by doubleM, the maker of a family of free web tools, operated from Ontario, Canada. All of doubleM's tools follow the same model: free to use, supported by advertising, and built so your data stays on your device. You can reach us at hello@doublem.ca.

Data you create in the tools

Rosters, saved teams, and game statistics (player names, jersey numbers, and performance events you record) live in your browser's local storage on your device. Clearing your browser data removes them. When you use the "Share" or "Copy link" features, the team you built is encoded into the link itself — anyone you send that link to can see that team, so share links the way you would share the same information on paper.

Technical data and server logs

Like nearly every website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs — IP address, device and browser type, and the pages requested — used for security and troubleshooting and retained for a limited period. Advertising cookies are described below. None of this includes the teams or stats you build in the tools, which do not leave your browser.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites, and to measure ad performance. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com. Visitors in regions that require consent (for example the EEA and UK) are shown a consent message before any ads are served.

Your rights and choices

You can manage or clear cookies in your browser, opt out of personalized advertising at the Google links above, and clear all tool data by clearing this site's browser storage. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under GDPR (EEA/UK), CCPA (California), or PIPEDA (Canada) — to exercise them, email hello@doublem.ca.

Service providers we rely on (such as Google for advertising and our hosting provider) may process technical data in the United States and other countries.

What we don't do

• No accounts, passwords, or profiles.
• No collection of your rosters, stats, or team data on any server.
• No selling of personal information.
• This site is intended for coaches, parents, and adult players — it is not directed to children under 13. Player names or numbers a coach types in stay on the coach's own device (or in links the coach chooses to share); they are never sent to us.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site works or how ads are served, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top.
